1. <boost>Dataflow Dictionary</boost>
A new wiki effort to compare approaches in dataflow programs, starting with Max and PD.

2. <boost>Max/MSP/Jitter</boost>
BEA-5 OSC Control v6: (Also a standalone OS X app.) PPC only. Based on a patch by Lex van den Broek; controls the BEA-5 synth racks at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. (And for everybody else, it’s still a good demonstration of how OSC works.)

Displacer v10: (Also a standalone OS X app.) Uses one source clip to apply a displacement effect to another, and records the result to disk.

Slit-Scanner v8: Copies columns of pixels from a source clip or live image, records the result to disk.

Perl Script for Max Colls: Crude, but useful. Can format an Excel spreadsheet or a plain text file for use in Max.

Max Cue-er Patch: A Max patch for running theatrical video cues. It works even with the demo version–just put your clips’ filenames in the text file.

iSight Control Patch: This lets you control focus, exposure, white balance, and shutter speed on an Apple iSight camera–and lock the settings, too. Ideal for use in motion tracking, installations, and the like.

Fake Keys Patch: This lets you play an octave’s worth of MIDI notes on the middle row of your keyboard, like you would in Live or a similar program. It also changes velocity and duration based on how fast you play. There are a lot of similar tools like this out there, but as a Max patch this can be directly integrated into your application.

3. <boost>Isadora</boost>
Isadora Tutorial Patch: I made this for an Isadora workshop last year…it takes you step-by-step through some basic sound and video control tricks.

Isadora User Actors collection: Here are a handful of useful Isadora widgets, including an Avid-style JKL video shuttle control and a pretty glow effect that’s easy on your CPU.

4. <boost>PD/GEM/PDP</boost>
OS X Video Capture in PDP and GEM: Simple ready-made video in widgets. The current version of GEM has trouble with Apple’s standalone iSight camera, by the way.

5. <boost>Wish List</boost>
Does anybody know how to connect multiple outputs to one input in Quartz Composer?
