This short is about an argument over dinner, an argument that goes around in circles. What’s unusual is that the dinner goes around in circles too; what’s eaten by one combatant comes out of the mouth of the other, so neither the eating nor the fighting ever has to end.

My name is Binda Singh. I’m the founding Director of the Swansea Bay Film Festival 2006 (www.swanseafilmfestival.com)
I’ve just viewed ‘Meal’, and I’m extremely impressed. I’ve been trawling the net for upcoming film makers and I’d like you to consider submitting to our festival.
As you will know our small city by the sea is home of a huge number of film stars from the past and present..and even the future we hope. Names such as Richard Burton, Catherine Zeta Jones and Anthony Hopkins all sprung to prominence from childhood homes here in South Wales.
The Swansea Bay Film Festival is opening its doors to the new generation of aspiring filmmakers of tomorrow. We firmly believe that the days of the big exclusive studios have passed and that a new era using new technology will lead the way forward.
Details for submitting to the festival are contained on the web site http://www.swanseafilmfestival.com.
In the spirit of ‘go-open’, any entry fees will be waived for yourself and any films submitted through you. I hope this small inducement might encourage entries from you and your circle of associates.
‘Meal’ really does look a thought provoking piece of work.
I hope you don’t mind me writing.
All the best,
Binda Singh
